The staff here are so compassionate and professional. Their job is not an easy one, for sure. Sara helped me every step of the way with final arrangements for my last surviving sibling.

She also honored my wish to see my brother. She met me at the offsite crematorium and was "there" for me when, and if, I needed her. She had called me the night before to caution me against seeing him, yet, she allowed me to make that decision once I arrived to where he was contained.

Needless to say I lost it the moment she opened the door, although she had well prepared me, for everything, every step of the way.

I'm glad I was able to do this for my brother. Estrangement between siblings never has a happy ending. With NSFH, my brother will RIP...

Thank you Shanda and Christopher for being very helpful and they give my family beautiful service. It was painful to lose my grandpa and aunt but they really devoted their time to make this funeral special for us and they did good job with service. I would give this place more than 5 star and recommend this place for families.

I called while my mom was in a coma after a major stroke, person on phone emailed me forms I would need. Two days later when my mom passed we made an appointment with Sara Wood. Met with her that afternoon made arrangements for the cremation, she made this process so easy for my dad and our family. Went back to pickup the cremated remains and once again treated with such dignity and respect. My dad went back on a third occasion to have some prayer cards made which only took about forty minutes from the time he arrived and had cards in his hand.

Had a funeral for a family member a few weeks ago and chose this funeral home. We wanted the funeral done very quickly and the staff at N. Sac Funeral Home were AMAZING! They made the process so easy - this was my first time planning a funeral and they guided me through everything effortlessly. Handled anything that came up so I did not have to stress with everything else that was already happening. Thank you to the staff (Especially Pam) for being so helpful during a difficult time.

I contacted North Sacramento Funeral Home because of the positive Yelp reviews. Sadly my wife passed away and I needed someone to handle the services. This operation is top notch. Each person at the facility was respectful and extremely accommodating of the requests of our family. Deborah was great and was transparent regarding the pricing and services that they offer. There were no high pressure sales tactics. It was basically, "here is what we offer, let me know what works best for you when you are ready to make the decision." We had the service last Friday morning and everything was seamless. I'm truly grateful for the professionalism and comfort by this staff.

My mother in law passed on a Sunday night in April and the husband wanted to have the cremation as earliest as Tuesday. With difficulty communication with the husband with my mother in law's family, my wife and I knew it would be a challenge with the husband's family with this planning of the service. The husband's family wanted to meet at the funeral home to discuss the funeral services. After the husband's and my mother in law's family met and agreed on a Wednesday at 2pm Funeral Service. Once the husband signed the contract, the funeral staff began to work effortlessly to meet the SHORT deadline with lots of obstacles but they were impressive as they completed every task without any issues or delays. On Tuesday the traditional Hindu wash and dressing took place without any issues. Wednesday both sides of the family had their own private viewing which started at 12pm with an hour each side. Once the funeral services began at 2 pm with 300 Plus attendance, all the traditional Hindu prayers, eulogy, speeches and Hindu cremation went beautifully with perfection with the help of the staff. The staff were well organized, responsive, and very concerned for every little detail to make sure it went perfectly. ****I had a chance to work with some very world class sympathetic funeral home staff. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Funeral Home to anyone and everyone as they treat you like family****

Very professional and accommodating. Deborah helped us with everything after my father's death. She made the whole thing easy and was in contact with me the whole time. This is a family owned business that dosen't cut corners when it comes to service and compassion

This place took care of my mom after she passed. Efficient and friendly, good prices. They were very kind to me and my family and my mom's cremation went off with no surprises. My mom had paid in advanced and was happy about her choice

If I could give North Sacramento Funeral Home more than five stars, I totally would.

Losing a loved one has been difficult, but Sarah and the rest of the team did a fantastic job guiding my family through the process of planning/hosting the vigil, funeral, and cremation. They helped us figure out what we wanted, and they never tried to convince us into buying more expensive things.

Sarah helped us with absolutely every part of the process, and we felt totally supported throughout the week and a half that we worked with her. We had no idea that the services provided by the funeral home would be so inclusive. Sarah helped with: filing and obtaining the death certificate, uploading photos to use at the memorial vigil, showing up to every event, going to Rite Aid at the last minute when we realized we had forgotten something for the vigil, setting up an appointment time for us to meet with the church, etc. Honestly she did so much to help our family that it would take hours to list everything.

And we always felt very comfortable talking with with her - whether it was to ask a question about the arrangements or share a funny story about my grandma. She listened to us when we needed a listening ear. And she answered questions when we needed answers. But she also smiled with us when we were happy and laughed with us when we were laughing. She was exactly the person we needed during this difficult time.

So I guess what it comes down to is... I would 100% recommend this business to anyone looking for a funeral home. They will treat you and your loved ones with compassion and respect.

Came here on October 26/2015 to set my mother in laws funeral with hubs. Debra was the one who saw us. My mother-in-law pre paid everything 10 years before, we are here now to follow her wishes. It was not an easy process it was very emotional for all of us and Deborah made it comforting as possible.

After walking us through all the paperwork and going down what she wanted and also helping us get a permit to schedule her ashes. She made it very easy for us to ask the right questions we needed to know and how to proceed next. They are all very professional there and very courteous to the grieving family. We felt very comfortable here and being able to go through this hard process without a hitch. Thanks again from our family.

Both funerals were handled with the utmost care and professionalism. The people here REALLY know their job and they do it well. They don't try to oversell you on ANYTHING. If there is a question, they answer it, doesn't matter when or what. Need help? They provide it (within their means of course).

Thanks again to Rita, Chris, Dan, and Pam for providing the services needed in a time of BIG need for my family. You really came through, as you did 21 years ago as well. This is a family owned/operated funeral home. While you hope you never need to use the services of one, if you do, and you're in the Sacramento area. This is where you should go. They are the BEST!
