Christopher Morgan

Owner, Crematory Manager, Embalmer, Funeral Director, Insurance Agent

Christopher Morgan was born in Sacramento and raised in the apartment above the North Sacramento Funeral Home.  He graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in June of 1997 and is a licensed Embalmer, Funeral Director and Crematory Manager.  Christopher also has his insurance license which allows him to assist families making pre-need arrangements.  Since his father’s passing and his mother’s retirement, he continues to oversee the daily operations of the funeral home.

Sarah Morgan

Owner, Crematory Manager, Funeral Director, Insurance Agent

Sarah is a crucial component in the co-management of the North Sacramento Funeral Home with Christopher Morgan including daily administration and future expansion.  She occasionally meets with families and feels honored each time she has the opportunity to assist them regarding the care of their loved one. Sarah also has her insurance license and can assist families wanting to make advanced arrangements.

Rita Morgan

Owner, Retired Funeral Director

Rita Morgan retired in 2014 after being a crucial component of the daily operations of North Sacramento Funeral Home for over 40 years.  Although she occasionally stops by to visit, she spends most of her time relaxing, reading and doting on her chihuahua Ziggy.  Many families that she assisted remember her fondly and often recall the warm and caring assistance that she provided to them during their time of loss. 

Joseph Miksits

Funeral Home Manager, Crematory Manager, Embalmer, Funeral Director, Insurance Agent

Joseph "Joe" Miksits is a dual-licensed funeral director and embalmer with over 13 years of experience in the funeral industry.  Prior to joining the team at North Sacramento Funeral Home team he worked in the Vallejo and Woodland areas.  He was raised in Sacramento and is very familiar with the geographical area and the diverse communities that reside here.  He has extensive embalming experience and can work closely with families to ensure that their expectations are met and exceeded in their time of need.  Joe also has his insurance license so he can assist families with making pre-need arrangements.

Funeral Arranger

Michael "Mike" Gillispie is a highly skilled Funeral Arranger with many years of experience within the local funeral industry. He has extensive knowledge and expertise regarding religious customs and rituals of the diverse communities served by the North Sacramento Funeral Home.

Shawntay Jones

Administrative Assistant

Shawntay recently joined our staff and works as an Administrative Assistant.  She has many years of experience within the industry and is very knowledgeable regarding the completion of death certificates.  She is also very kind which is a comfort to grieving families.

Frank Lopez Sr.

Certified Crematory Operator

Frank Lopez, Sr. has worked at the North Sacramento Funeral Home for over 22 years as a Certified Crematory Operator.  Frank’s skills are imperative to the smooth operation of the crematory and he has a keen sense of crematory protocol as he worked under the guidance of Henry Morgan for many years.  Frank is bilingual and provides translation for Spanish speaking families.

Gregory Taylor

Mortuary Driver, Certified Crematory Operator

Greg is our primary mortuary driver in charge of bringing decedents into our care from their place of passing.  Families appreciate his compassionate manner and effective assistance in their time of need.  He works as a crematory operator when he is not driving.
